I have had varying degrees of success with setting sleeves from ultimate failures -to- meh...I can live with that pucker/pleat/etc.

In my sewing I am really starting to focus on fit and construction.

This time I actually did two lines of ease stitches (I usually do just one). I pinned it really well, easing out any puckers with my fingers. And then when it came time to sew it I went VERY slowly, again, easing out any fullness with my fingers as I went along.

Before when easing sleeves, I'd put the sleeve around the arm of my machine. When I made those 3 baby jackets, the sleeves were too small I learned a new way. Well, new to me.

And here is my beautifully set sleeve!! I'm almost terrified to set sleeve #2!

Hi Mrs. Charisma,
Your sleeve came out beautifully smooth! So I went to the site you provided.

Thanks everyone!

I made my husband, daughter and son all come down to the sewing cave to marvel at it! :)

Glad I can provide a resource Erin! I always feel especially good when that happens because I've learned insane amounts of from this website!
