You can get quite a number of things like that - Keepsake Quilting has several. I wouldn't want to follow the lines...I SAY that's because I am artistic, but it's really because I don't like following lines...cough....and maybe because I couldn't....you never know...

Personally, my FMQ is worse if I am trying to follow a line. It looks all wobbly and unsure.

I think it looks interesting as well, I would be curious to hear how it worked in practice.

I find it difficult to follow a pattern. Not that my stippling free motion is great but I kinda get into a flow and it goes pretty well. I do have some stencils and pound that I use for some borders but I tend to be less fluid in my movements.

I've tried doing this before I have a whole book of free motion designs. I would scan and copy onto blank newsprint and just hold it on with pins. I had trouble keeping my stitches even cos it's hard to see them with the paper there. However now with free motioning with a slider and the Janome it might work better. I believe to me it's easier on the Janome to free motion then the Bernina. I can figure exactly how fast I have to hit the pedal in accordance with how fast I move the fabric to keep the stitches more even. I like this as it adheres to the fabric to keep it in place no pins. Hopefully she will get it for me and I will be able to try it.

I missed something. It sticks on the fabric? I thought it was a hard template and I had to trace around it. Boy did I not read that correctly the other day.

No it's paper. There are a couple different versions of it.
