I am trying to do a bagged lining on a vest, but can't seem to figure out how to do the armholes. I've looked at a lot of jacket-bagging tutorials, but somehow can't translate the sleeve part into a non-sleeve. I have NO spacial reasoning ability!
Are there any tutorials or instructions out there on the interwebs that explain the process for a vest?

The way I do it is that the shoulders are joined but the armholes are open. Then I just put the fabric and lining right sides together and go around the neckline, bottom, then armholes. Turn the waistcoat the right way out through a shoulder. Last up are the side seams done last as one long seam on both fabric and lining leaving some of the lining open on one side and handsewing that closed.
I found this online which shows this method, but I haven't listened to it. video

Spitfire, see if this thread is any help. It includes Nicegirl's link to her all-machine clean-finish lining tutorial.
Basically, you sew the lining to the fashion fabric along the neckline and armholes, then turn everything through one of the shoulder straps (it will all fit--really!), then carefully sew up the side seams in one long pass. But Nicegirl's tutorial explains everything step-by-step, with photos and/or video.
...Except that last bit (where you sew the side seams in one pass). So I took pictures of the process and posted them on the second (?) page, just in case anybody else had this issue!
