It was SWEET!!!

Very pretty machine. VERY very NICE large touch screen.

Similar basic sewing side as the other Creatives, there are a few differences from the PCP. You can disable the start/stop button for one thing.

The ActivStitch and thread portioning is also different and where the massive price difference comes in.

He said it was $11,000 but he isn't selling it for that. I am not the deal maker, my hubby is, and he skipped out of the store as SOON as I gasped and went all googli-eyed when I saw the Pro.

Dealer JUST got it in today, hadn't even threaded it yet!

I played with it for about 30 minutes, just plain sewing thread. He showed me samples from the old Sensation using some thread he said was flat, not round, and it was GORGEOUS!!!

LOTS more embroidery editing options, and LOTS of on machine designs. Some really pretty stitches too.

I have to admit I AM tempted. I do LOVE my PCP though, not sure I'd be willing to give him up, even for thread portioning and ACtivStitch. I am not willing to give up my Creative 4, I love that machine too much. She has a permanent home with me.

Uggg I soooo wish I just disliked the machine. Wouldn't that make things just so much easier???

I can totally relate!! Window shopping machines is soooo hard to do. I need to bring my 240 in for service soon but I am kinda avoiding it because I sooo want a 750. Just not in the cards. I looked at the Performance 5.0 last summer and wanted that too. Sigh!

I've been eagerly awaiting the Pro. However, I already have the CS and love it. A week ago I sewed on a Babylock Elissimo Gold 2 and feel I deserve that one too.

The CS really knows how to sew garments while the Babylock Gold 2 has the market cornered for embroidery. It has a camera and sensor that finds the correct placement for embroidery. Can stop, take the embroidery out of the hoop, rehoop and the machine finds the place to start again. Amazing! And, the stitches are beautiful.

Yesterday I went to a demo on the newest Floriani Pro software. Today I went back and bought it. I'm so tired of struggling with the 5D. I thought that was a proper consolation prize for not buying the BL.

Sewdoggie, I think you're going to really love the Floriani Pro. I got it a couple of weeks ago (an Ellisimo Gold 2 just happened to come along with it!) and I'm already quite comfortable with it. This is the first software that may actually get me digitizing. Once you register it and get it up and running, just take your time playing the videos and tutorials. The video icon is about in the middle of the top row. They're all broken down into manageable small units, so I play them while I'm doing some repetitive serging or waiting for embroidery to stitch out. Great thing is, they don't soak you for the upgrades like so many others, and I've already installed it on my laptop as well as sewing room computer. Hope you have fun with yours too!

That thread portioning does really make a huge difference. All else being equal, your designs will stitch out better and threads that break on another machine will work for you if you just increase that thread portioning number a little.

But what do you hear about the next TOL? Any clever new enticements on it?

Not sure what you are asking? WHAT next TOL?

And I am awfully tempted by the thread portioning, but still not happy with the price of it!

I have heard good things about floriani, how easy is it to use compared to other softwares, masterworks, pe design, embird, etc.

I wasn't forgetting, I was including the trade in of my PCP.

Which is 99% of the problem. I ADORE my PCP!

It is STILL quite a bit of $$ on top of the trade. My PCP has a lot of hours on it for the short amount of time I've had him, so that makes his trade in value a little less.

Just don't think I want to part with him! He sews so incredibly beautifully, and he is so very simple to use.

I'm purple green with envy of your Gold 2. Also impressed how you managed to get it out the door with the software too. What a fabulous trick to pull off.

I'm going to have to rethink my approach. I wonder why that machine didn't follow me out the door tpp?
