View from the hallway:

Details:

One of my alcoves has a tabletop ironing board for quick detail pressing (I press a lot).

View from inside the room:

Details:

The second alcove has a small chest for projects to do soon. Top drawer patterns and fabrics to use for fitting muslins. Bottom drawer fashion fabrics.

Here's the corner with my thread and my dress forms:

I repurposed two twin headboards that my hubby made for our former house. They can serve to hold bolts of fabrics and can be rotated so I can use them as two ends to hold a large cutting board. This occurred to me at the last minute when I was deciding whether to discard those headboards (which I love but which served no purpose here).

I keep my fabric stash in a finished area "under the eaves" which I have posted before. My pattern stash is in the garage in a pattern cabinet. My UFO's and a bunch of yarn that I inherited from an in-law are in a closet at the other end of this hall. I have to keep the clutter away from me because it overwhelms me and I spend a lot of time sorting, ruminating, and not sewing!

The antique sewing machine belonged to my great-great grandmother. It's a "Minnesota" brand (treadle, of course). I sewed with it until I got my own machine at about age 21!

Hi Brenda. We're all so anxiously awaiting photos but they are "forbidden" with errors on the google site.

Your room is beautiful, spacious, uncluttered and interesting.
I love the rug and the way it brightens and warms up the space. Having your machine near the window is so nice. Thanks for sharing.
