Long story short, I am terrible at sleeves.

I'm trying to merge the jacket in Vogue 2405 with a very snugly-fitted body block pattern, but keeping the Vogue pattern's armscye shape is really screwing up the fit around the front shoulder. The jacket front bunches badly between the armhole and bust. How can I get the fabric to lay flat?

The sleeve cap also seems to be much too big for the upper armhole, at least in my mockup. I would have to gather it to get it to fit, but that's not the look I want. How can I resolve this without losing the space for the jacket's rather large shoulder pads?

ETA: Ugh, I've only just realized I posted this in the wrong forum. My kingdom for a delete button...

Pictures please. Other than that- to avoide gathers you need to lower the top of the sleeve or reduce it between the notches.
Walk the distance between the front and back notches with a ruler on the armsyce. Do the same with the sleeve and adjust so they match.

As for the bunching- it depends on if they are horizontal or vertical lines, how deep and how long.
