Has anyone else seen the new Burda Style Special? It is fantastic! For the first time in several moons, Burda Style has me all excited about sewing something from their magazine. All the styles are clean, simple, stylish and wearable. Can't wait to get started.

Is this it?

I like the color-block dress and top.

I purchased a copy if this edition when I was in San Franscisco a few weeks ago. I was impressed with the pattern designs but more so the pattern instructions - ! I couldn't believe how detailed the instructions are in this edition of Burda. I guess, I am a neophyte when it comes to Burda magazines - I have only subscribed to Burda Style (the monthly edition) where the pattern instructions are terrible.

Anyhoo . . . I am currently sewing up one of the patterns from this edition (pants) hopefully, will have them sewn sooooooon!

This is not the one that I'm referring to Anne. I am still trying to find an online link so I can post it.

oooooohhh! I should check out the instructions. If they are that good, this would be a first for Burda Style.

Anne, the magazine in that link is Burda Easy. The styles are different from Burda Classics, but I still like a few of them, too!

I couldn't find an online preview of Burda Classics, except for a blog post, where the blog author actually scanned/photographed the relevant pages in the magazine, so that we could have a look at the styles (thank you!).

It's a mistery to me why Burda doesn't show a preview for this magazine, like it does for all its other magazines!

... a blog post ...

Ooooh. I can see why you like it. That is an inspiring edition. Thank you for posting that (& thanks to the blogger for putting it up). Even the coat, which at first didn't appeal to me, looks nice in the minky fabric they selected. Other than the tank top dresses, I think everything could work for me.

There was a recent thread about the fall Burda Classic Special; is that the issue you mean?
