I went to the Original Sewing and Quilting expo in Fort Worth this weekend and met Linda Lee at her booth. She's just as nice in person as she seems on her Craftsy class videos. I bought some fabric, thread and a pattern from her and acted like a total starstruck geek. I told my sister I was more excited than if I had of met Mick Jagger. She told me I was a nerd.

Whatever! I don't think you're a nerd!!

I'm going to the sewing expo in Overland Park in November and am already getting excited about the people I'll be meeting!

Did you take any classes while you were there?

I didn't take any classes but I regret that. Next time I will. I had such a good time and bought lots of goodies, besides the stuff I bought from Linda. I got a new wooden sleeve board, some other patterns and some beautiful beaded trim. I wish I could have gone all three days it was going on but it was just a little too far away for me to do that.

I hope you can take some classes next time. Make it a mini-vacation and stay at the Expo/take classes and enjoy :-)

I met Linda Lee at the ASG Conference in New Mexico (which was a great place to visit - I might add). I had two classes with her and learned a lot and really enjoyed her teaching style.

Some 'rock-star' Sewists are very nice and are eager to teach and assist new sewers and returning sewers and Linda Lee is defiantly that
