Subject: Best thread for Pfaff Embroidery Machines? Date: 10/22/13 3:26 AM

Just received a Pfaff Creative Vision 5.5. Yeah!!
New to embroidery.
So many brands of thread!
What is your favorite brand of thread for use /w Pfaff embroidery machines?
I want to avoid using threads that shred and break easily.
Learning the machine will be challenge enough!
Thanks!!

I would try out a couple of brands to see which is most compatible with your machine.

I have a brother embroidery/sewing machine combo and my machine came with the Brother pacesetter thread. Floriani works well but I can't easily find it and it is expensive. I am also trying out some metro thread.

people speak highly of Robison Anton and Madeira. My machine DOES NOT like Coats and Clark.

I don't have a Pfaff, but a Brother. I use the Gutermann embroidery thread and have not had a problem yet.

Good luck!

I have an older model Pfaff embroidery machine,it likes every brand embroidery thread I used, except one.

The built in embroidery thread color converter is Sulky.I started out with Sulky embroidery thread and have many Sulky thread cones.I also have Gütermann,Marathon and C&C embroidery thread, because I like the shade of colors.

The only embroidery thread I will never buy again is Jenny Haskins embroidery thread ! Although I liked some of Jenny Haskins embroidery thread colors and her embroidery thread is much cheaper.

My choice is Maderia. Whichever brand you decide on, get their color chart so you can cross reference with the brand used for the original design.

I have a cv5.5 and a 7570. I use two brands Robison anton and hemingworth. I have not had much luck with other brands and coats and clark is a definite no no
