Good morning, sewers!

I have a (maybe dumb) serger question.

I have a Brother 1034d and think it's awesome. I want to sew with three threads instead of four, and I've done that many times before using the right needle. I've recently learned I can use the left needle instead, creating a wider stitch. I want to do this on my next project. Here's the (dumb) question:

If I am using the left needle, from which spool do I pull the thread? Does this matter? With the right needle, I would of course use the 3rd spool from the right, which calls itself something like "Thread For the Right Needle" (I made that up). But if it's the LEFT needle, does it make a difference? Am I making sense?

Which spool/tension slot/etc. do I use if I am only using the LEFT needle? Does it actually matter?

Thanks in advance!
Christy

Use the thread spool and tension discs you would use for the left needle thread when using all 4 threads.

Not at all a dumb question, there are no dumb questions! And I'm glad you asked, because if I ever want to do this, I already have the answer!
