Groupon deal link.
I'm not sure how long this offer has been up or when it ends, so snag it while you can :)

How it works is you pay $20 for a voucher good for $40 (or pay $40 for $100). The vouchers are valid for 120 days. You can only use 1 voucher per visit, and you have to use the whole voucher; i.e. you can't use $15 on one visit and use $25 on another, so if your merchandise total comes out to be less than the value of the voucher, you lose the remainder.

I see it's only valid 'in-store'.

Yeah, unfortunately you can only take advantage of the offer if you live in NYC or plan on visiting before the voucher expires :(

Just bought one for my sister, who will be in the city conveniently before she comes down to see me for Thanksgiving. She doesn't sew and I've never been to that shop so this will be interesting. I told her she can pick out fabrics for me to sew something for her for her Christmas present.

I hope she finds some nice things for me to sew! How are their regular prices for silks and wools?

Their sticker prices are about on par with Mood, but some fabrics are permanently 50% off. I haven't looked at their silks in a long time but their wools range from discount bolts at $12/yd to $40ish for designer stuff. Their wool selection is pretty nice, though definitely focusing on a traditional tailored style. I don't remember seeing many sweater knits, but they do have some jersey and double-knit.

I went in today and they actually let me use both vouchers together. The woman who helped me (I can't remember her name, she's the one with red hair) was going to give me some price breaks but when I mentioned that I was planning on using the Groupon she said she'd have to charge full price since the Groupon is already a hefty discount. So I decided to use the Groupon and have her tally the full price, since the price breaks she was offering worked out to be a lower percentage.
