I just feel good right now xD
I came out to my car to a flat tire on Friday...it would have been only a minor annoyance if not for the fact that the folks who I bought my tires from kind of didn't give back the tire key for the security bolt on my tires. Thank GOODNESS my local dealer had the right one; they're apparently discontinuing them and had only two in stock anyway.
This morning I took my car in to have the flat tire fixed, and found out there was corrosion on the rim when the tire was mounted. Basically, where the rubber of the tire connects to the metal, there SHOULD be an airtight seal. Because corrosion is bumpy, the air was leaking all around the contact point. Essentially, the guy who mounted my tires didn't do his job, because he's supposed to clean off all the corrosion before mounting tires, otherwise....this happens.
So I called the tire company. They're in Florida, where I lived this summer when I got the tires replaced. I'm in DC. I couldn't bring my car to one of their service locations, because the closest one is in North Carolina. But the new manager there (was apparently transferred because people haven't been doing their jobs......) reimbursed me entirely for the cost of the tire key as well as the repairjob on my flat tire.
It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside to get really spectacular customer service.Folks just don't do it like that anymore!
