I just took a quick look at Vogue patterns, and noticed that they have some new ones up for Winter/Holiday.

This one looks darling.

Check out 8955. It's very full legged pants! I want to make the short culottes for tango dancing in a bright red. I think they would be epic!

The Guy Laroche ensemble - 13720- is unfortunate at best. In the thumbnail the model appears to be wearing a black lawn & leaf bag.

LOL. When looking at a pattern do you ever find yourself saying "You gotta be kidding!" ?

Yes, and too often, those WTH? patterns are Vogues. Example

1377 is interesting. Has me imagining someone making a maternity coat out of upholstery scraps.

V1148 was obviously having a Witchy-Poo moment, but the Guy Laroche design takes the cake for a really bad 80s reinvention. The Tom and Linda Platt manages to make a tall slim model look an East German athlete on steroids, so what would it do for the rest of us more well endowed women? Uggh. And as for V116, could this be a sartorial answer to incontinence?

Is Vogue going 80s or 70s? Some of those designs are very Studio 54. Maybe I'm just jaded but it wasn't a great look the first time around.

But there are some really lovely designs there. The Claire Shaeffer dress is beautiful. And the Tracy Reese is very sweet.

My problem is that unless I'm going to church, I just don't wear anything but jean shorts and a t-shirt. I don't dress for anything anymore.
