Does anyone have suggestions for patterns I can use for
Sweater knits? Something besides cardigans. Thanks.

If you search the boards for sweater knit you will find many past threads with pattern suggestions.

I have used the Stretch and Sew patterns in the past, just check the amount of stretch they are drafted for. KwikSew also work if you use the correct pattern for the amount of stretch in your sweater knit.

Anything new on your list for Winter 2014-15?
Pullover type, not more fluttery cardis....looking for new necklines other than scoop/V'S to go over long T's. In the snow, we always need at least 2 layers, even inside the house.

Sometimes you find remnants, but then need additional contrast fabric for front piecing or sleeves. Has anyone tried a sweater knit using clear elastic, for instance, to stabilize a front horizontal or diagonal seam?

You can make a t-shirt type garment ( and it's variants.long sleeved, tank top tank dress) in sweater knits.basically anything you would make in a jersey could be made in a sweater knit.

Agreed. I am making simplicity 2369 top in a sweater knit after making it in ITY. I'll account for the different fabric but I think it'll be pretty cute. Sure it'll need a cami but soon we will be knee-deep in snow and subzero temps!

Looking to make quick swingy long vests for Christmas gifts for relatives.
Anyone have a favorite using sweater knits, lace, even the new furs? What about armhole finishing then? (maybe free printables also)
