Anyone have any good choices for satin lining that is a step above the squishy polyester you get at prom season?
also looking for good trouser weight material and possibly brocades.

Kasha satin is a good coat lining. Information about it is here. Vogue Fabrics has some here. JoAnn's has it occasionally but be sure to check for the Kasha name since JoAnn has some bad satin that looks similar.

Linda MacPhee has kasha satin or at least did.
she is in Edmonton or Calgary Canada. I made a jacket from her black kasha satin several years ago and still wear it every fall. She sells nice stuff. I'll post a pic on my blog.
