I am sooo excited.
My wife and I will have such fun together.
She really wanted a long-arm. I thought I would love a new Bernina but I have plenty of swell machines. What we didn't have was something to quilt our quilts on (yes, you can quilt on a home machine, of course).
We tried the machines out at a store about an hour away and were convinced we loved them. However, Sewing Machines Plus in California gave us much better financing terms. Woo-hoo !
Now, I'm deciding what room to re-purpose and put the 12 foot frame in.
Thanks for steering me away from a redundant machine. Bert

OH...such a sm in a 12 foot frame can not be a "kid"...it's got to be a Duchess at least.

Wise choice you made there.. One thing I have learned over the years is there are always Sewing Machines around for sale.. Always the newest .. always those on sale at bargain prices.. And so one needs a strategy to what you buy.. Or a bigger house.. or a shed..

We need a "pea green with envy" emoticon! I'm so jealous of you I could just spit Enjoy it! Be sure to post lots for us to drool over.
Want a longarm. Want Want Want Want! But I lack anyplace in this house for the frame. I have offered to clear out the master bedroom or the living room to make room for one, but for some reason DH was not enthused about either idea.
My retirement house will have room for one though! Nine years and counting.
