I've been asked to make a blouse like Ellen Griswold wears in the movie, Christmas Vacation for a holiday party. If you can't remember, here's a link:
Ellen Griswold's blouse.
Really low cut! Any suggestions for a similar pattern?

Sorry I don't have any suggestions.

My favorite Christmas movie.

This Lekala pattern is pretty close.

Yes, that is a great blouse. (I wish I'd looked like Beverly D'Angelo wearing it!) If you do make it, I hope you'll post pics.

I have always wanted to make Ingrid Bergmans paisley blouse from Casablanca. I found patterns that are close enough - but the fabric has eluded me for years.... sigh ...

A lightweight satin brocade would look pretty. I prefer something washable, maybe a polyester.

White fabric. With that neckline, no one will notice the fabric.

This silk cotton blend would be really nice if you want it dressy. Or this. Or here's a nice crepe.

Have fun with it!

Those all sound like great suggestions. I will see what the customer's budget will allow. I hope that she'll let me post a picture!
