Hi all,
I just bought my first overlocker - a Huskylock 905 from ebay. Have received it and threaded it up and it's all working well, the only issue is that I didn't notice in the photos that it was missing the flat bed cover, would this cause any issues?
I'm only a beginner sewer so I thought I'd get the advice of some experts.
Thanks!

It would not for me, I don't know about you though. It's going to sew and make stitches just the same if you have that or not though, so if it was me I would not worry about that for just using and sewing on it at all. I guess if someone told me it had everything with it and then it did not, and I thought I was buying something that was different than what I got, that might bother me. But also, when something is not new, and you buy it used, sometimes things have just gone missing first too. But if I wanted one, I would not care if it really had that little piece with it or not, as it would not negative effect my sewing ability on it at all either really.

contact the local dealer that handles those machines maybe they have one in stock.

Thanks beauturbo. I couldn't see it causing an issue but being a beginner sewer I just wanted to check there wasn't anything I was missing.

I'll see if I can find one online because it does make the machine look "prettier" but I'm not holding my breathe as it's an old model now.

I have that machine; I rarely put the flatbed piece on, it's not going to make any difference.

Did it have the tiny two thread converter piece? That's important.

Not sure, I'll have to have a look - I was more intent on figuring out how to thread it and making sure it worked after being posted. Is that part pictured in the manual?

I just checked - it looks like it's got the 2 thread converter - a small piece about 20cm long.

Thanks for the heads up Kittykate, if there's any other parts I should check for please let me know - when I threaded it up it was my first ever use of an overlocker so I'm a little in the dark. I did however notice the tweezers where missing but had some normal eyebrow ones lying about that worked just fine.
