I really like these faux wrap blouses. I'm sorry, all my efforts to paste the images in from picasa failed, so I've had to post links.

The back is straightforward but if anyone has seen a pattern similar to the front, I'd love to know.

Sorry, I must have been trying to fix them while you were reading. I couldn't find a preview button till I'd posted the message first.

Your inspiration:

Kwik Sew 3635 is for knits, but I suspect it will work for wovens if you make a size up and don't use the fitted bottom band. It might be an easier place to start than the Hot Patterns, which has the front cut in one piece, folded in half at the hem, and the wrong side looped up to the opposite shoulder.

Thanks nicegirl. I'm considering starting with a shirt and redrafting the front so that the two halves meet underneath. Some versions have the stripes diagonal, like the one above, so i think the extra is added near the side seams and the shoulder line redrawn, and others have the stripes vertical all the way across, so it is the cf shaping that changes. Have o decide which is more likely to be flattering. :-)

Subsidiary question to you more with-it folks - are these too last year, or can I still make one? (We're sixmonths behind here, of course)

If you have V7876 V7876

You might be able to use the front as a basis for a redraft using your favorite long sleeved, cuffed shirt pattern. I thought about the McCalls pattern, but front and back are attached to a band, and the striped version shows that it is cut on grain vs bias.
