Looking for an easy sew men's suit or sport jacket and pants.

Hi all. My husband plans way ahead and he is already planning his next Halloween costume. Part of it will require a plain men's suit, or perhaps a sport jacket and pants.

A simple sew project is all we need, rather than linings and the like. I'm really disappointed to find that there are few men's clothing patterns out there and the ones for suits and such are more difficult than is necessary.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Many thanks in advance.

Have you thought of buying one from a thrift store and doing some alterations or additions if necessary? Even simplified, a suit would be quite a lot of work.

I strongly suspect that an "easy sew man's suit" is an oxymoron!

It is an oxymoron, especially the jacket. :)
I agree with what others have said, modify an existing one, if appropriate. It's cheaper and faster. Make a run for a second hand store.

Your pattern choices are extremely limited. I've used bits from Vogue 2836. But I would not call this pattern "easy". I believe it has been reviewed on this site.

Have you looked at the costume section of the pattern books?

Thanks to all!

Actually, I managed to find two fairly simple patterns. Both are Kwik Sews and one is a jacket and the other a pair of slacks. They look perfect for what I need.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I couldn't figure out where my post went!
