Hey there! So I just got an enlighten baby lock serger! I'm making a pair of leggings and I want to stitch the elastic band (hidden) and can't figure out how or what it's called to stitch without the blade cutting the edge ? If anyone could give me some advice that would be awesome! :)

YOu have to move the blade out of the way. There is usually a knob that moves it.

There is a little knob that says lock on it. Disengage it (turn it 180 degrees) that and you disengage the knife. The knife still remains upright (doesn't move out of the way like some machines) so it still looks active but it doesn't cut the fabric.

Page 18 of the manual has instructions on disengaging the blade. Not being able to get the fabric through is a whole other issue. Is it just not feeding?

it doesn't matter what type of sewing you do. you are sewing, and sewing is good.
