I haven't seen these measurements posted elsewhere here, but we do a lot of chatting about Ottobre, so I might have just missed it.

In case anyone's looking for this information, this was the response that Claudiangel (HS24) received from Ottobre when she asked them about it:

"Bust height in the size chart we use is following:

26 (34) - 26.9 (36) - 27.7 (38) - 28.6 (40)

It is measured from neckline-shoulderseam point to bust's highest point."

I agree Lakaribane, it would be great if more companies supplied this information.

I think it's so wonderful how responsive Ottobre is to its customers. I've contacted them a couple of times over the years and received speedy responses with the information I needed.

I draft my patterns and cannot imagine drafting or using one's pattern without this measurement.... Only Ottobre does it? Wow...I am reading this forum for a couple of years and I was wondering why nobody ever mention this measurement as a cause of bad fit in a chest and shoulder area... Sorry, I do not really know how adjust a commercial pattern or do FBA...Does FBA includes adjusting a bust depth? Just curious...

The Cake Red Velvet dress includes this measurement on the front bodice pattern piece. Adjusting for this is mentioned in the pattern's fitting instructions.

Thanks Michelle, that's great to know.

In addition to Burda and Patrones mentioned by lakaribane, Schnittquelle also has that information in their measurements charts and some companies such as Vogue print the bust apex on the pattern piece.
