So I've been struggling to modify pants patterns to fit. I've never used Burda before but since they are on sale at Hancocks, I grabbed this one 7863 (Edited with correct link below)and it fit right out of the envelope without a single alteration. I'm in love . Now I want to run out and buy some more while they're on sale. I'm combing thru reviews, but if anyone has suggestions especially for classic or tnts I’d love to hear them. I’m talking about the ones you buy in the envelops not the downloadable or magazine patterns which I think are different altogether. Also I've noticed that some patterns are labeled Burda Young while others are Burda Style. Is there a difference in fit. According to the sizing chart they are the same, so maybe its just advertising and target markets. TIA.7863

Congrats! I too have had good luck with the fit of Burda pants. Iiirc, Burda Young is just aimed at a younger demographic and tends to come in the smaller size range (eg largest size is a 42 rather than a 44 or 46) but uses the same size chart.

The crotch curve in Burda is different than what the US company's use. I believe the fit is the same as the magazine patterns, but with the advantage of not having to trace!! The "Young", from what I've seen is more teenage style....
Congrats on finding them...JoAnn's carries them also and it's nice to have!

Yea, their pants are great! Their tops don't fit me at all, but I've had good success with some shorts and pants already without major alterations. It's all about finding the one company that uses a model that's most compatible with your body type.

I really like 7250 for a slouchy look. 7447 is also very nice, more classic.
