I am one lucky lady that gets to see the new season of Downton Abbey early. I have sis in the UK who sends them via internet. Anyway if you be sure to see Episode 5 as there is a new ladies maid-seamstress using a vintage Singer. Not sure which model , it has a foot control and a very pretty machine. They were new technology in those days as ice boxes changed over to refrigerators too. Just a heads up for you DA fans.

You might want to add a post to the topic related to sewing machines seen on television. Thanks for the heads-up.

------
Brother NX650, Brother 1034D serger, Janome Coverpro 1000cpx (coverstitch), and Sailrite LSZ-1 for heavy jobs, including top-stitching denim jeans. Wishlist: Pfaff Performance 5.0 or Brother Dreamweaver VQ3000, then maybe? an embroidery machine.

2014 - Fabric in stash at beginning of year: 128 yds
Fabric purchased: 59 yds
Fabric sewn: 47 yds
Fabric donated/disposed: 7 yds
Fabric currently in stash: 133 yds
I've decided I'm going to reduce the stash by prioritizing the bulky items. That means the upcoming sewing projects will be fleece jackets.
