Does anyone know where I might look for information about decorative stitches? I'm trying to do the snowflake stitch and they are coming out at stretched out open spikes. Not pretty. I have a Bernina activa 135 S.

Thanks!

Not familiar with the Bernina but on my Pfaff and Elna I have a "balance" feature which corrects the distortion of decorative stitches. On yours I think it is called the 'balance adjustment knob' on the side under the handwheel.

If that doesn't work, try stabilizing your fabric underneath with interfacing or tear-away stabilizer.

Thanks so much Julkane! It worked! Here are some pictures of the tea towels I made for a housewarming present.

Thank you SewLibra! They are simple, but I saw some similar at Anthropologie and thought I could just do it myself!
