I have a lot of ponte knee length skirts that I love to wear and which are great with either bare legs or regular pantyhose but cling like crazy when I wear tights. Half slips don't seem to reduce it nor does lining the skirt. How does everyone else deal with this or is it just a fact of winter life?!

Try static guard.

I also have put hand cream or water on my hands and then wiped them on the tights.( in an emergency! )..It is the dry winter air that is the biggest problem.

Rub a dryer sheet on your legs.

Static guard - yesterday I work a linen skirt and used it on both sides of the slip and the inside of the skirt. Worked well, and I live in a super static climate.

A friend reminded me of the old solution, pinning a safety pin to the seam. I haven't tried it in years, but may do so the next time I wear a skirt w/tights.

Thanks all - I've tried just about all of this with varying degrees of success but one of the skirts in particular just refuses to cooperate. I'm beginning to think that the tricot lining on that one may be cut the wrong direction and that's helping it to climb because it doesn't do it nearly as bad in some of the others. The safety pin suggestion is a new one to me but I'll try that - thanks!
