Many Thanx for your input.....turned out there was no machine. it was a scam. they couldn't tell me what came with the machine. couldn't answer any questions about it. too many red flags.

anyone have an idea of the cost of a used 730e from an individual. i have not seen it, but it is supposed to be in excellent condition. Thanx.

Have you checked completed auctions on eBay?

Don't look at what is currently listed for sale... instead, look at see what has actually sold - and for how much.

My projects (and life and times!) are on www.RipStitcher.com

Wish list:
Bernina 550QE (for it's cute little footprint)
Sashiko
Ovation serger
APQS George ... oh heck... go Millie!

2014: Sold the 7700 to make room for a 5.5mm machine alongside side my Ellie.
2013: Wow.. no real new toys - too much family drama!!!!
2012: New Elna Lotus for granddaughter, Red Elna Press, Horizon 7700, Gidget 2 Table, Babylock Ellisimo Gold
1970's: Elna SU62 & ElnaPress

Totally depends on what accessories come with it. For a machine with just the original accessories and no extras - going for about $2500 to $3000. More than that with additional accessories. Also depends upon the number of stitches for both sewing and embroidery. Ask them to get that for you.

------
Bernina 780, and 530
Juki TL2010
Babylock Evolution
Singer 403a

I agree. Average looks like around $3000. Higher if they're selling their embroidery software with it.

200e upgraded to a 730 is going for around $2000. I saw one 200e sell for $800 on SewItsForSale, but I don't think it was upgraded.

I've been doing machine embroidery for 10 years, but I'm always a beginner because I'm always trying to things I don't yet know how to do!

No matter the price or brand,I would only buy a used computerized sewing machine from a dealer with a warranty.

As far as I know dealers can give warranties on used machines. In general, sewing machine warranties can't be transferred to other people.Unless a machine has an extended warranty bought separately when the machine was new and can be transferred.Even then,I would read the small print carefully too.

I bought one recently for 2500 but that was a steal because she wanted a quick sale
