Used a large Cool Whip container to structure this one.

More info on my blog.

The liner on this one goes down the sides and is hemmed at the bottom... just like you see on the outside. The plastic of the cool whip container is on the bottom - both inside and out.

On this one, I didn't bother putting a bottom on. That way, there is no "turning" the work.

I made the whole thing flat... then did the side seam.... then when I folded it in half, I put the piping up in the top edge and sewed that on the open arm.

LOL, Melinda! I just caught your signature line about getting rid of the kids because your dogs were allergic! omg.

I have a website ... well, two, really... for work-related stuff that I need to put together over the next few weeks. In order to get warmed up on a few things I need to learn, I thought I'd put my sewing blog up first to make the process of learning yucky stuff a little more fun.

I bought some software earlier this year ($1,200... ouch!) that helps to put a membership site together and integrates email, affiliates, webinars, members-only content, etc. It allows access to certain parts of the site for appropriate member levels.

It's overwhelming to learn. arrrrgh.

I did these screwy little projects because 1) I wanted them for myself... 2) I needed the therapy they brought me while I was working on them! lol ... and 3) they are going to be my models for learning how to put some tutorials and this membership site together. (so the membership site for this sort of stuff will be a freebie... just enough to give me a practice place for the sites for work which will be to bring in $$)

I need to take more time to focus on this stuff... which is difficult.. that working to earn the $$ for today's bills always gets in the way!

I'm glad you got a chuckle out of it.
