I inherited a Bernina 730 from my grandmother. It has a few minor issues (I think it's mostly user error!) and my husband just got me a different machine for Christmas. I understand Berninas are great machines, and I'm sad to see it go, but can't justify keeping both of them. The Bernina is mostly in good condition - it occasionally seems to have tension issues, but I think I fixed that by adjusting the tension on the bobbin case. That's basically it. It has a carrying case, lots of bobbins, repair tools, and a bunch of feet - I don't know what they all are. I also have a table for it that is made for the machine and fits around it perfectly, plus the green accessory holder. I'm trying to figure out a fair price for the whole lot - machine, accessories, and table. The machine does need to be cleaned. I haven't taken it in for repair because I was told it's so old that they can't get parts for it anymore. Can anyone help me with an estimate of how much to sell it for? I've seen just the machines going on eBay for $400+ but they aren't getting any bids, so I'm guessing that's not a fair price?

If you go into advanced settings on your search with eBay, check on the box for completed listings only. That is how you can tell what sold and the price the auction finished at.

Have you considered having the machine serviced and checked out. Then you will know if it is a parts machine or you can sell it as a set, in which you can ask for more money. If it is a parts machine, the accessories you can sell in groups on Ebay, or even here on PR. Good luck!
