I purchased this machine for my daughter in June at the sewing expo in Raleigh. She is learning to sew and just now getting around to using it. I have no experience with this machine so I don't know how to help her and I am 4 hours away from raleigh.
When she winds the bobbin the motor starts off slow then picks up speed. Is this normal? And the bobbin will only fill half way and that is with help holding the little "finger" in towards the bobbin. If I don't hold the "finger" button it will pop out as if it is full at about 1/4-1/3 full (hope that makes sense)
It seems like I read somewhere on here (maybe the juke love thread??) that a few others had this problem but I can't seem to find that thread now. I am hoping to be able to resolve it myself.
We have a juke dealer near here but they are closed for a week or so due to moving/expanding. WE are working on some projects and this is most annoying to have to keep filling the bobbin.

I don't have this machine so I don't know about the speed issue. I think that might be ok. You should be able to adjust the bobbin winding regulator (pg 17 in the manual). There is a screw at the top of the shaft; if you loosen it you can move the piece to allow more thread on the bobbin before it shuts off. That should take care of the problem unless there is something else going on. Can your daughter doe this herself? Also, if the bobbin is not winding right you can tighten the screw on the thread guide (which kind of acts like a tension disk for the bobbin thread as it is winding). HTH
