I received an email this morning from Deer and Doe, the French pattern company. They have produced a new tee shirt pattern and are delving into the download market.

Deer and Doe

I have made one of their patterns reviewed here.

The drafting is superb, and the instructions excellent. I look forward to trying out this new pattern.

Thank you, thank you!
A T for real bodies and the elbow patches are a cute extra.
DIL is PG, so looks like it would be great lengthened.
What else can you do but sew when it's going to be -15?!

Sometimes European sites do not show up just Googling,
but I found Mimin.com which leads you to lots of free craft items
from various countries, all can be translated.

You do have to register to load it.

I think I created an account when I bought my hard copy pattern from them last year. Sorry, I can't remember about how I did it.

Deer and Doe have a sizing chart in inches, which is linked to from the pattern page and included in the instructions. I had no trouble making an account and signing in, it did not switch to French at any point, so I can't help you there. There is a button to click in the upper left corner of the screen to change language.

I'm not sure what you mean by 68%. You print the pattern at 100% no scaling. It will be ridiculously small if you print it at 68%.

Deer & Doe has a free download right now of the Plantain t-shirt pattern. It does not mention a printer paper size...has anyone downloaded from this company? I am new to the world of international pattern downloads :)

Thanks so much for the tip!! I haven't heard of D&D before now, but I love the look of this tee. Already created an account and downloaded the pattern.

Subject: Deer and Doe download paper size Date: 1/6/14 11:45 AM

I downloaded the same pattern - haven't printed it yet, but looking at the instructions it says to print it at "Actual size". Choosing that setting in the print dialog and looking at the preview, I think the document pages are A4 BUT the actual pattern only uses a smaller part of that. Thus, while it might cut off some margin, if you print the pattern at actual size on letter size paper, it should work just fine. You'll have to trim/fold each page to line it up.

You can just lay one sheet on top of the other so that the alignment lines match up, no need to trim. I always do mine by taping them to the large glass panes of the patio door.
