Hello everyone, I'm totally new to sewing and I need your help. I've been researching sewing machines and can't decide which one to choose. I don't want to buy expensive one, so i found jamone sewist 500, hd1000, magnolia 7318 and juki hzl-35z. I need it just to do basic sewing for now, and more advanced in the future.

The Sewist and the Magnolia are pretty much the same machine, except the Sewist has an automatic buttonhole. I don't mind 4-step buttonholes, so that wouldn't be a big deal. I have both the Magnolia and the TB-12 which was almost the same as the HD1000 except no needle threader and different graphics.
If I were to choose one of the Janomes, I'd go with the HD1000. I prefer a vertical bobbin and I like the larger handwheel.
Sorry no help with the Juki. I've never had the pleasure of sewing on a Juki.

The Sewist also has adjustable foot pressure to adjust for heavy and very light fabric feeding. The Magnolia looks the same but does not have this feature. I have the Sewist and it's as a great starter machine and beyond. It's very much like a Sears Kenmore I started out on years ago and had I kept it, it would still be meeting my needs today.
The Juki has pressure adjustment, plus a one-step buttonhole. A nice machine for the price.
Welcome! Feel free to ask more questions and let us know what you choose!
