I a beginner. Is the class suitable for me? And, since I'm male, can I start with a men's pattern? Thanks. Jack

Was checking to see if Sarah was offering a silk class this year and stumbled on this. I hope she responded- its very unusual for her not to have. Based on all the classes I have had from here go for it. Your men's pattern is a good choice and you won't be disappointed in the course. She details techniques and skill sets and universal fitting- not gender related. I learned lots about sewing for my husband and grandson for her.

No, I haven't heard back, but thanks for the info. It was right in the middle of holidays--a really busy time.

Perhaps you haven't heard back because the question isn't in a thread about a particular class or addressed to a specific instructor.

What class are you hoping to take and who is the instructor?

I think there is a link at the bottom of the box for each class that you can use for asking a question before registering. That link will open a thread for that class in this forum. More importantly, it should also go to the teacher to let them know there is a question.

I thought that was the link I used to ask the question and that it would go directly to the teacher, not as a topic on the board. I'll try again! Thanks.

Hi Jack,
Sorry that I didn't see your message earlier. I did have a student work on a different Tee pattern and I helped her fit that pattern. I am willing to help you fit your pattern as well. You would have to post pics of your questions so I could see what you're working on. But, just to let you know.... In the Tee videos, I am using my tee pattern which is shaped for the bust and hips. Much of what's covered would not apply to you. There is some information about shoulder length and overall length, but most of the rest either deals with adjustments specific to the pattern or to women's curves. Let me know if this is helpful. Thanks Jen
