He said he would throw in the walking foot and a new insert for my table.
I need a more powerful motor than my current Babylock.

Can't wait to hear the prices....

But I'm curious... which Babylock do you have that is a bit wimpy for what kind of task?

I'm not sure of the pricing for the 380 but if it helps at all, I purchased the 350 with the walking foot for $1099.

My suggestion would be to go for the B560 without embroidery. You can always add the embroidery down the road.

The price variance between the 380 and 560 is pretty small (all things considered) but the difference in features is huge. The 560 has presser foot pressure adjustment, color touch screen, auto snips yada yada yada and is a full-size machine that is still very easy to carry and comes with a gorgeous silver & black carry case.

That's about what I paid for one about a year ago without any extras.

It's not a bad price considering my sewing store sells it for $1999 and your price includes the ~$150 walking foot! The only other thing is this machine doesn't come with the heel tap pedal so you might want that too!

Thanks for the replies everyone. Maybe I'll take a look at the 560 when I go back with some fabric samples.

Maybe next year...the difference in price between the 380 and the 560 was quite a bit at my dealer. I got the 380 to start. However, I was wrong on the price...it was $1,999. I got half off the walking foot and the new table insert, and 25% off any accessories. He also said I have 60 days to return it if I don't like it...for a full refund.
I'm not fond of this dealer but I do like the service department. I've been taking my Babylock there for years. We only have 1 other dealer in town and they sell Viking.
Anyway, I pick it up on Tuesday.

If you are wary of the dealer you might want to go somewhere else. The dealer is the most important thing about buying a sewing machine. IMHO.
