Hi out there. Couple of questions if I may, firstly am I able to mark threads as read so they don't show in active topics when I next visit. It would be fab just to see the latest topics when ever I visit. Secondly where do I find the list of members, I believe I can 'click' on their location and find out fellow members there and also the same with machines. Please bear in mind I am no techno, that I do know. Thank you for reading

There is no list of members available. You cannot post a message as read that I'm aware of (I don't use Topic Tracker).

You can locate a particular member as long as you know their exact name here.

list of members

GIButterfly is correct, so far as I know--there is no list of members which can be accessed.
But you can get an alpha list of members, by userid; by city, state, or country (provided the member put that info in her/his profile).

To do so, click on "Find a member," 2nd item down in the vertical listing at the left. Then, you can call up a list by city, state, &/or country. E.g., using United Kingdom as your only search term, will return you a list of 663 members in the UK.

Exploring this capability will likely show you that it's not exactly common for U.S. members to show their city, though many show their state. And, it appears (my impression only) that for all other countries, city is never shown.

Also, if you'll call up the countries list, the list is quite extensive.

If you select Active Topics at the top of the message boards you will get the topics in order of last posting. Or Active with Misc. so marking is not really necessary.

I very much doubt people would want to publicize an actual member list that would be easy to search. As it is you can find people as others have mentioned.

Also, if what you want is to meet sewers in the area near you, you can start a topic in the forums asking. For example: Anyone sewing in and around FillInTheBlankBurg? :D

and Welcome to PR!
