This is a belated xmas present for a girlfriend, who is a quilter. She commented once that she really loved my biscornu pincushion, so I thought I would make her one of her own, only a wrist one. Biscornu normally have a button in the centre, but as you don't look at your pincushion very much when you are stabbing the pins in, I really think a hard button right in the middle, isn't a wise move. And I prefer the shape without anyway.

Its really hard to photograph these well ..... but the embroidery consists of skeins, button, cotton reels, a pair of scissors and needle and thread ...... and then a florid A,B,C (no idea why). Hearts feature on the underside, and I added my tiny little signature that I put on every piece of embroidery I make.

That's beautiful! I tried to make myself a ladybug wrist pincushion this past weekend and it was a complete failure. I still think it was the worst instructions I ever encountered.

This is really nice and you have a lucky friend! I don't know what I would do without my wrist pincushion and could use a spare. Want my address? lol

LOL SewLibra ....... you are a sweetie!

Thank you everyone ....... I dropped over this afternoon, and she was thrilled. She can't even remember commenting on my pin cushion, so it was a complete surprise for her. I like it when a plan comes together.

I love it! I recycled an old sock top that was a perfect fit- wide and comfortable on my wrist. I sewed it to my wrist pincushion. What an improvement over the elastic and plastic bands they all come with.
