Hi, I'm looking at acquiring a cabinet to house a Necchi Supernova I picked up, from what I can gather an old Singer cabinet will work fine.

I just want to check how the machine attaches ... From what I understand the hinges get inserted into the machine and locked with grub screws and when open the machine sits on the small hinged flap at the front, but when folded into the cabinet do the hinges hold the entire weight of the machine or is there support from below?

Thanks,
Chris

Here's a visual .. the 4th picture shows how the cabinet has nothing to support the machine once folded.

The machines have no other support, just the hinges.

Just make sure those screws don't come loose...

And cabinets don't come with the screws that need to go into the metal post holes of the sewing machine bed, that holds the posts on the cabinet in. If you still got screws there, they would be still in the back bottom edge of the sewing machine bed you got now, where the holes are in it.
