I found some fabrics that I absolutely love. They have my ds' (almost 13) stamp of approval.
On Track

Red

On the website they have some color coordinating fabric. There are a few that my ds likes too.
Some with chevron another with dots. Some in blue.

Any ideas on what kind of quilt to make with this fabric? Something not too difficult. I'm still a beginner quilter.

Also, has anybody bought from Hawthorne before? How is their service?

Thanks! I'm super excited about making a quilt for my ds! I've made him one last year. He uses it all the time. So, I'm looking forward to starting a new one for him.

LOVE Hawthorne! Several orders, no problems.

I have almost 11 and 13 year old guys. They like simple, geometric patterns in whatever prints they're into. Which is great-those are easy.

Do they have any outgrown sports T-shirts left?
Great to incorporate by cutting out the square logos--with a
backing--in order to sew a stretch to a cotton.

I like that idea. But since I have the fabric in mind already, I will have to save your idea for another quilt to make.

What about this pattern for the fabrics I have started to pick? Would they show will?

Can you tell that I am obsessed with finding a pattern, buying this fabric and then start with this project?

I like your fabric choice modern and fun. I like the darker colour way. The pattern is straight forward and if you want to stay with that modern funky look I'd keep the coordinating fabric to the same vibe and let you feature fabric 'pop' more.

It's a nice choice good luck

My fabric came in yesterday. It's super cute. Now I need to buy my pattern and start cutting.
