I am going to attempt to sew Burda Pattern #6982.
I am confused as to what to trace, mark, and cut on the front piece for the fly. I have an example here:
Burda #6982 Crotch Question
The arrow shows the part that confuses me. Where is a marking line or cutting for my size?
Also, when I shorten the crotch one inch will I still be able to put a zipper in?

I would ignore the fly stitching line marking on the pattern sheet for now and just cut out the outer edges where your red lines are. When I go to the step for stitching the fly, I measure 1 1/4 inch (I think this is right amount of inches?) from the folded edge and place a piece of scotch tape on that line as a stitching guide and use a curve from a template for the bottom curve (similar to the bottom fly curve on the pattern). I chalk trace the bottom curve. I make sure the curve just misses the zipper end when drawing and sewing it.
I hope that helps.
