I went to my dealer's store to talk about a class I am going to take soon, and was asking him about the Sashiko machines. The class instructor said she has one and LOVES it, and she thought Babylock was having a sale on them right now.

She was right!

So I ordered one, (Christmas came WAAAYYY early for me ) and can not WAIT for it to get here!

Wow, that's great. Everytime I see it at a quilting show I get tempted but annoyed. I really do love the effect. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Not sure why but I have been really eying those lately even though I know I would not use it enough to justify the cost. Sounds like you got a great deal

Good for you Cat! You need to have a little more fun after your hellish month(s). I too cannot wait to see what you make.

Oh I am just drooling. I couldn't justify the sashiko machine right now so I ordered a design pack to stitch them out on some fabric.

Thanks everyone for sharing my excitement!

I have been fascinated/obsessed with this machine since I saw pics from a quilt show in Japan. Such LOVELY stitching, but I do not have the time to hand sew on that scale.

I plan to use mine primarily for quilting. I like very minimal quilting on the quilts I make for kids, keeps them softer and cuddlier, so I am super excited about this machine!

Will be my first Babylock. But it's the same dealer I have been buying my machines from since I moved here.

We'll be eagerly waiting to see photos what you make this machine do!
If there was any possible way I could rationalize it, I'd have one too!
