BurdaStyle PDF download question
Does a single PDF still include related views?

It's been a while since I've bought/downloaded a BurdaStyle PDF pattern. It used to be that if there were multiple views of a garment, for example, a dress and a top view, or different sleeve option, all of those views were included in the same PDF. The web site used to state this, like in this example:

Link to wrap dress(es) on BurdaStyle

But now, even when two views obviously use the same pattern base, it doesn't say anything about it. See this example of a newer pattern:

http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/sectioned-tee-plus-size-022014

which is obviously the same as this pattern:

http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/sectioned-jersey-top-plus-size-022014

So, what I'm wondering is I'd still get all views included in a single paid download, or just one of the views?

Sometimes they do include the other styles. You can download the instructions prior to purchasing the pattern to review. Sometimes the pieces are in the pattern download, but not part of the instructions which is ok if you can figure it out on your own or download the free instructions for the other views.
Sorry, it appears these patterns do not allow you to preview the instructions on these patterns.

Bump.

Anyone?

I've had an email out to BurdaStyle customer service asking this question, but haven't heard back yet.

I'm thinking they are 2 different patterns since they have 2 different #s? 137 and 138 ?

I am hoping that's not the case. If you look at the tech drawings for both, the only difference is that one view has long sleeves and no hem band, and the other one has short sleeves and a hem band. The base pattern is identical. Not that this isn't something that I couldn't figure out how to modify on my own, but I'd rather Burda do it for me.

I've seen other examples of this recently. Like I said, they used to include all views with the same base pattern as part of the download. It feels like poor customer service to take that away, if that's what they've done.

Yes, I wouldn't want to modify either ... let us know what they say.( When I had a question in took several days for a reply.)

I might just get impatient and purchase the view that I slightly prefer. I'll post here with a report as far as what I find in the actual PDF.

Yeah, in my experience it depends. I've bought some BurdaStyle PDFs that end up having both views, or at least the pattern pieces of both views if not the instructions, but I've bought ones that don't. Sorry, that's not of much help.

Actually, that is a help. At least I now know that it's not cut-and-dried across the board and gives me some guidance that if I like both the top and dress view of a pattern, purchase the dress view, in case the PDF doesn't include both.

I bought several of their PDF patterns. My experience was they all use the same pattern sheet, but you only get the instruction for the view that you paid for.
