i had to remove the needle plate to unjam thread after my thread got caught while embroidering. I had to take the needle off to do it. I put the needle back on, made sure it hit the needle stopper. I screwed it back on. Now the needle will not thread. Any idea on what to do? Thanks.

Have you tried powering the machine off and then back on? I was having a similar problem on a machine and realized I had inadvertently moved the thing (needle bar? doohickey? thing?) that the needle shaft goes into. When I turned the power off and on the machine reset it and the auto threader worked after that. Just a thought!

Be sure the needle is all the way up where it should be, otherwise the needle threader will not hit it where it should. Also, is it possible that he part that goes through the needle hole became bent?

I am guessing the thread jam must have thrown off the position of the needle somehow. But I have no other suggetions on how to fix it.

Anytime there is a jam...the needle should be replaced. It could be ever so slightly bent.
