The first time I sent a swatch to Zipperstop, I mailed it on Thursday, they called me on Friday to confirm my order & I had my new zippers on Tuesday.

This time, I mailed it Thursday, they called me Wednesday (but only after I e-mailed them) and they JUST mailed them out today. It will take nearly 2 weeks to get 2 zippers.

I'm glad for the matching services they provide, but the lack of consistent turn around time is frustrating. Has anyone experienced this? Perhaps it's just an "off" week for them.

I suppose it might be time to order their swatch book. Hmmm.

I have never used Zipperstop so I can't answer your question, but I am curious about how it works so I will be watching this topic.

Checked their site. They are located in NYC. The have been smacked with weather. One of this week's rounds interfered with transportation services. And there is more winter weather heading their way.

It is an 'off' winter for a lot of folks. I'd toss this experience out of the averaging pool when judging them.

We had a winter like this when we lived in Prnnsylvania. I loved it, hubbie hated it. I suspect it is better to relive it in my memory than to go through it again. That was the year we got a 28 inch snowfall over two feet of already standing snow and had to shovel off the roof to protect the house.

That same winter we had 45 below wind chills. One morning I was unable to deliver my son to swim practice as the car battery had cracked. When my son called the coach, the coach asked why we didn't have a backup plan. I later learned that the coach lived in the same neighborhood - you know what I was thinking.

Anyway, some winters have unexpected challenges. They are probably doing the best they can. Son and DIL live there - brrrrrr!

I've used Zipperstop for several years - not that I order that many zippers - but when I started, I bought the color card and I do the matching and order what I determine. I like that not only do they have lots of colors - they will also custom size the zipper. I've never had a slow turn-around time with them and I'd give them the benefit of the doubt with the bad weather the northeast has been having.

Excellent, that's exactly what I was wonderingI completely understand & empathize with having an "off" day/week/month, and, honestly, it's fine if they DO typically take a week. I was just wondering which to expect going forward

Southeastern Pennsylvania was hit really hard with an ice storm last Wednesday morning. Over 700,000 homes without power - some still out as I write this post.

I lost power for 36 hours and had no Internet, TV or phone service until late last night.

Trees and power lines down everywhere - some roads still impassable.

I went into withdrawal when I couldn't read PR.

Local paper said more electricity out with this storm than what Hurricane Sandy caused last year.

This storm came a day later after 8-10 inches of wet snow on Monday.

So, yes this has been an unusual winter for the East Coast - delays with businesses etc.

Woggy, we have a dear friend that lives in Chambersburg. I called to check on her and was relieved to here that she hadn't lost power. What a mess. More to come and even more, and worse, when the spring thaw comes. Best wishes for your safety and warmth.

And, JennaF, hope you are warm and safe also. You probably would have appreciated having your zipper order to work with. I imagine you have been housebound too.
