Does anyone know about the uneven sized forms (5, 7 & 9)? Are they for petites?

I have search the board but can't find any information on the PGM uneven sized forms - ie the size 5, 7 & 9. Is anyone familiar with these?

Looking at the size table it appears they match the even sized forms for some measurements but have smaller shoulder, back and chest measurements as well as shorter front and back waist measurements.

For example, the 6 & 7 have the same Bust, Under bust, Abdomen, and Neck measurements, but the 7 is smaller in the Shoulder, Across Shoulder, Across Back, Front Chest, and Apex to Apex width measurements as well as being shorter in the Neck to Front and Back Waist.

I am wondering if they are designed for a petite? I am 5'2" and my measurements seen to correspond more closely to the 7 than the 6. I have sent a message to PGM but have not heard back yet. I am wondering if anyone here has any knowledge of how the uneven sizes work?

I don't know about the PGM forms but 5, 7 & 9 are typically Junior sizes. Maybe ages 13-17?

My hope is to sew to the very end. They'll find my head slumped over my precious Kenmore 19606 and have to pry the seam ripper from my cold, dead hands.

The 5, 7, and 9 only show up under the juniors' size table, so I think Cathy is right. Don't let their labels bother you though, get the one that most closely fits your measurements.

Thanks Cathy & Rhey. The website makes vague references to Missy and Junior forms but I can't actually find anything specific other than the size tables for Ladies dress forms (2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12,14,16,18,20) and Girls dress forms (G7,G8,G10,G12,G14).

When I hear back from PGM I'll post the response here as I know there are other petites around who have struggled to find a suitable dress form to cope with shorter back waist measurements and (often) narrower shoulders.

I've also send an inquiry to Alvanon dress forms as their product looks really interesting. Their dress forms are based on lots of full body scans of real people so the proportions, body stance and sizing is very realistic.

This is interesting. I have a PGM I bought around 5 or so years ago and at that time the only sizes listed were the even numbered sizes...2,4,6, etc. I checked it out on the website and sure enough they now say 2,4,5,6,7, etc. in the ladies size. I wonder if the news sizes are for petites as you say. I love my PGM dressform BTW and wish I had gotten it sooner. Interested to hear what you find out.
