I usually subscribe to the Burda Plus magazine, but I forgot to renew it this year. I can't tell from the descriptions on the website if they had anything I wanted. The clothes on the website are for much younger people and they do not show the complete magazine any more. Did anyone get it and did you like it?

The text is obviously in Russian, but if you want to look at all the images/line drawings you can have a look at the site on Burda Russia. Just click on the images to see each model.

I skipped this issue because most of the patterns were repeats from pretty recent editions of regular Burda that I already had or minor variations on those patterns.

One woman. One sewing machine. One giant stack of fabric. What could possibly go wrong?

Mine came this week. Some of the items I remember from the regular Burda - same scenes and everything. There were a couple of shirts I might make, but that is about it. This is probably one of the more disappointing Plus issues that I've gotten.

I don't think much of this issue either. I think only about four or five patterns are new. I have been going through old Burdas and I think I recognize some of the same patterns from years ago. I don't think I will renew after this subscription. I think if I really want a pattern I will download it.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed to see that most of the patterns were recycled - and I've even made a couple of them! Many of the "new" patterns also looked familiar. Too bad, because I really liked the plus patterns in the last couple of regular Burda Style's. Now I have to decide if I'm going to renew my Plus subscription....

Thanks for the link to Burda Russia. I don't think much of this issue either. I think I will pass.

I only recognized the very last photo spread, the ocean themed one with the girl with very thin lips and way too dark lipstick. But I haven't been reading Burda too long.

What frustrates me is that they can't seem to be clear on what the purpose of Burda Plus is. A few issues ago, they touted that every single pattern was new. Now they're back to recycling. It's really annoying.

I subbed because it is so much cheaper than buying new and the last 9 times (yes, nine) that I've gone to G Street, they haven't even had any new Burdas. (I haven't found a Burda there since December.) But I also subbed to regular Burda because of that problem--if the ugly sorbet patterns from the March Burda are just going to end up in a future Plus, what's the point?

Arrrg. I'm cranky.
