I was trying to check out a line drawing for a Burda pattern and went to Simplicity.com when I noticed new patterns for Simplicity and New Look. Of course, the mounds of snow outside will probably melt before can check them out. How can such a slow site be good for business?????

Don't know about any new Simplicity ones - but saw the New Look catalog at Hancock when I popped in to get some Burda patterns.

The New Look release appeared really small. I'm guessing 8 or less women's patterns?

I don't bother to go to the Simplicity site if I can help it...I look at line drawings here on PR.

The NL February release is here, in the sewing patterns area.

Finally managed to take a look. Nothing inspired me to wait for line drawings.

Thanks, ladies, for the reminder...I can look here on PR...duh....

I think 6261 is definitely one I want. Like the jacket in 6261 too.

Ooo new patterns!

Love the Jacket 1421, especially with the contrast trim.

I'm drawn to the peplum top, 1425, but am pretty sure I have a couple of similar patterns already.

The vintage bra tops, 1426, are adorable, but I would try to use them to make a swimsuit if I were to go for that one.

1419, the new Lisette dress, is also pretty cute!

1451 is the EXACT pattern as 4203. A kids pattern. WHY do they do that??

I noticed it because it's one of the few children's patterns that I own and I thought I wasn't in the Feb'14 release.

Why discontinue only to reissue the exact pattern? I get when B/M reissue something as a see & sew pattern...but this is just annoying.

I think it's because they see no point in it maybe and because don't really care about anyone's internet business with them.

Truth is even right now this week, all Simplicty Patterns are 5 patterns for only $5, instead even at all Joann's Fabrics. They will probably never do that on that website. I saw them there, at Joann's Fabrics today. So they (Simplicity on line) just can't ever compete with that, even though they are even "The" Simplicity Pattern company themselves even!

So I think that does have a lot to do with motivation probably and how you choose to set up your website and such. And how you run it.

I'm not sure why it's always that slow, slow, slow though, but if you look at even their source pages, kind of looks like they may have way too much, javascript garbage in everything, everyplace, and maybe that really does have something to do with it even.

It does not matter to me that much, as I would never order a pattern on line from them either, I just "use them" to view patterns actually, and then just really buy them from local Joann or Hancocks kind of stores when they are less than $1, or $1.99 or something instead really.

Oooh, they have another pattern with A-cup pieces (& other sizes).

Pretty cute style options.

I think it is interesting that they have dance clothing options. And a men's shirt
