What are you sewing in cool easy wovens?
I've got some soft voiles, trying to use wovens after being spoiled with comfortable knits and enough scoop-T's.

Do not like the look of the peasant-style blousons with pouf sleeves on older ladies, but what other necklines out there without hot collars? Assuming we will get weather over 50 sometime soooon!

I'm all kinds of excited about trying the new McCall 6927. It has cup sizes included all the way up to DDD!

I agree! Just took a look at that one after receiving the email about new patterns. Who'll review it first?

M6927. DDD cut caught my attention. Another pattern fast breakage? I struggle with sewing smooth side darts so it will be interesting to see how big that dart is on the DDD.

I like this pattern because it is a great jump off for options of sleeve, minor neckline changes. I have a couple of jackets that need a simple top under them.

Enabling **
McCalls 5/$7 at Hancock's 26th-Mar. 2 and
JA's 23-1st

I have S1693, looks the same, used it for a knit altho it's for wovens, worked without the darts too.
Mc 6751 is cute, but would have to lengthen for waist coverage, so I'm trying a muslin first. I liked the crossover style, then realized it's in the back, not the front.

B5997 is another I bought for winter tunics, but want to try the sleeveless version for summer. I would use the mandarin collar for warm weather. Note, the V is low on this style.

I just ordered the Sewaholic Alma Blouse, which has gotten very good reviews. I'm thinking that will be a good style for summer.

I agree about that new mccalls tee!

I like S2255 for a summer top. I've made two and want another in black voile that ice got in the stash.

I have also made several (like 5) versions of M6519. A simple woven tee that uses little fabric

That McCalls pattern looks like the ideal woven t-shirt pattern for those of us with... uh... a need for darts.

Actually, it doesn't if you wear a woman's size and are a B or A cup. I'm so sick of pattern and RTW companies thinking if you're fat you have huge boobs! [ ant]

ETA: I think I'm going to try Grainline's Scout Tee. The only adjustment I should have to make is widening at the hip a little. Has anyone tried that one?
