Subject: Sewaholic's New Maxi Skirt Pattern Date: 2/24/14 8:36 PM

Tasia just released a new skirt pattern. It's a Maxi skirt, but it's a bit more dramatic than what I'm seeing in RTW lately, so that's nice.
Gabriola Skirt

She hinted in the comments that the top she's wearing might be released as a pattern later this week!

Personally I think it's a great maxi skirt - thanks for putting it to our attention!

I'm definitely getting it for summer. I'll wear it with a short asymetrical knit top.

And it's a great stash buster, too!

I like it. But I'm not much of a maxi skirt/dress wearer so I won't be buying it. I do think it's about time I buy Minoru though!!

I like it, but I'm not sure how wearable it'll be for me. It's much fuller than most maxis skirts I like wearing. It could be interesting for a dressier occasion though.

Wow! A skirt you could actually walk/stride in! :D

What a great looking pattern! I usually draft my own skirts in this shape, but I have to admit I'm tempted by this one....

She shared the Belcarra Blouse this morning (not to be released until April).

I'm unsure on the skirt, but I really like the top! I do think the neckline is too wide for my taste; with my sloping shoulders & all. But that's an easy fix. I love the view with the tucks on the sleeves.

I like the skirt with the top tucked in, rather than untucked. A number of pattern testers have posted their photos online.

I'm partial to the tucked style, too. I've seen one of the pattern tester's versions. I'll have to check around.

I am very tempted to get this and make it up for Summer dressing. Length is something that is very easy to manage/control. So TFS!

I think Gabriola is pretty, and would probably be really flattering, but it's not quite my style. Who knows, though, I could change my mind and eat my words.

I'm pretty sure the Belcarra would not be flattering at all on my large bust.
