I could have sworn I saw a thread about this awhile ago but I'm not finding it when I search the boards. So sorry to ask if it's been asked before but...do you use cotton laminate or something like that to make reusable bowl covers? or PUL? Or??? And if cotton laminate or something else where do you get it?

Thanks

I think some people just use cotton (not waterproof but keeps bugs out). Some use the PUL that is safety rated for babies so it is BpA-free, etc. I'm planning to use PUL since Tuesday Morning had it for $19.99 for an entire bolt.

I used clear plastic of a decent weight to make them so I could see the contents (and I got a bolt of red PUL at TM fpr $19,99 and a rubber duckey bolt for $24.99)

I like PUL or nylon taffeta or nylon ripstop.

Lucky you to get the red! I had to settle for the yellow.

I can see I'm going to need to get to Tuesday Morning; sadly, that won't happen this week.

Question though about PUL -- do you put the vinyl side down (towards the food) or up (towards the outside)? Or sandwich 2 layers so you have vinyl on both sides?

PUL is a polyester/polyurethane laminate.
