Is there any way, short of calling them, to know the stretchiness of knits sold by Fabric Mart? I'm wondering if the info is there and I'm not seeing it, or if it's really just an educated guessing game.

If I really want to know I call. They will go to the bolt and tell you what you want to know. You can also email and ask about "how far will 4" stretch" and they will tell you. If you have a few you are asking about I would email, and they will get to you when they have time.NAYY

Agreed. They have excellent customer service. I've even called to ask about the appropriateness of say, using something for pants when I'm not clear on the weight

Yes, calling is best, and emailing is second best. Fabric Mart is terrific.

Thanks, everyone! I'm glad to know 1) I wasn't being a dummy not being able to find it, and 2) when it's important for a project they'll be able to help me if I call. In the end I found a knit I liked in the clearance section at Joann last night (impatience got to me). It's nice enough for a wearable muslin, at the very least. We'll see how it washes. I ended up winging it on the knit I liked at Fabric Mart, figuring whatever the stretch is I'll find a use for it! The tentative plan is to use it to try the Deer & Doe Plantain tee. A couple other things also jumped into my cart... no idea how THAT happened...
